Console the phantom

Oooh I went to watch The Phantom of the Opera. The first half was superb. The second half was good too but I fell asleep for 10 mins... The ticket was expensive so I forced myself to wake up and continue watching! It was such coincidence... I met Ben and Andy in the theatre and they were seated beside me!!!!







Mario Kitchen at Liang Seah serves Korean food. Not fantastic though.. But not too bad I guess. Just too much rice in the Bibimbab and the chicken soup is too salty.

And history always repeats itself! I am always on the waiting list for Cafe Iguana and Brewerkz. Brewerkz always managed to call me before Iguana does. And when we've placed our orders at Brewerkz, Iguana would call and inform they have seats. Argh!!! Second or Third time already.

Clubbing was fun. Just that half the time I felt like vomitting out all the beer and vodka. And I'm totally cool with people unbuttoning my shirt on the dance floor. It thrills me. But what's beneath my shirt may be a turn off (remember i failed my fat test?) haha.........

And OMG I saw my hair stylist! Such a coincidence. He brought some cute friends to the club. Anyway I forgot all their names right after the introduction. Was not sober enough to remember.

Best thing is I asked him for more discount during my next hair cut. He said ok... if I introduce more customers to him. So he better keep his promise. He is Alex. Works in Jean Yip at Plaza Sing. Well if u like my hair, it's cut by him =) remember to mention my name. You'll get discount.

End of yr 2

My exams had ended today and this marks the end of my second year in uni. If I'm not doing honours, I would graduate in exactly one year time.

This is the perhaps the most crazy semester ever with 3 non examinable modules. I had 3 deadlines during reading week, when reading week was supposedly reserved for revision.

Hence I only have two days to study for my first paper, and subsequently 2 days to study for my second paper. Considering I felt so burnt-out already from all the previous deadlines.

The first paper turned out to be a nightmare as I left more than half of the "fill in the blanks" questions empty. My second paper was probably so so only because I missed out one really salient point for a question.

I didn't feel good about my non examinable modules either. Especially product and brand management! This semester would see a drop in CAP score. Definately!

Academic stuff aside, I'm glad I've learnt the basics of using Photoshop, Indesign and Freehand from the instructors and friends. Also I'm also glad that most of the project meetings and study sessions were filled with fun and laughter.

I'm also grateful for an all-expenses-paid-for marketing internship opportunity in Shanghai. Grateful that this internship, with the help of my very kind instructor, could be converted into a module with credit. This means I could do one less module next semester.

I'm also thankful for receiving the IES-NUS award! Which means money for SHOPPING!!!!!! yay.... River Island having sale.

Lesson learnt

I've not whined on my blog for many days because I was SO BUSY MEETInG deadlines. Another reason is Because my keyboard is partially spoilt. My fingers were really dry one night and i cant type properly. i applied moisturiser and held up a cup of milo. the cup slipped... and milo spilled onto my lap top.

So lesson learnt... never hold anything after u moisturise ur hands.

Since I never whine online I turned to whining offline. Apologise to all my projects mates.... casey irene jina sancia nicole natasha caleb and damon. especially damon because i'm doing 2 modules with him. every proj meeting will have some whining sessions.

now that all my reports projects assignments and presentation are over it's time to mug for my first paper which is only 2 days from now. whine...........

numb

today i went NUH staff canteen for lunch with ben. the rice is soaked with oil. so i didnt eat the rice. only ate the mutton. the long beans was so raw. as if it was not cooked at all. didn't eat that also.

i've a marketing exam tomorrow. i m so sick of mkt already after all the reports n presentations and readings... my brain can't take in anymore marketing stuff.... it's 1230am now. my exam is at 3pm. and i'm still at chapter 2. there are 11 chapters. i don't feel panicky at all. guess i'm so numb from all the deadlines. my nerves are probably dead by now.

Whine........... i've an interesting picture from afa.org.sg. i used this for my folder. yup keep ur bird safe. dun let it fly and f*** around.

and i started thinking that i'm really fortunate. i've friends who helped me with my sch work and everything else. i'm so grateful to them =)

Death

我刚看了一部戏，是有关于一个人,从死亡回来的经历。这是一部台湾的中艺节幕。节幕里的女主角谈到了四个灾难。风灾，火灾，水灾和地灾.

ok so basically, the host interviewed a lady, probably a well known figure in Taiwan. She recount her experience of coming back to life, from death.

According to her, 火灾 occurs when you are dead. That is when your body's temperature drop. 水灾 occurred when your tears started flowing uncontrollably when you are going to die because your body has lost the ability to control the flow of fluid. 地灾 occurred when she felt her bones breaking apart.

After all these, she still didn't realise she is going to die. She was then "transported" to a place, sort of like a tunnel, where she could hear beautiful music and see lots of beautiful clothing. She wanted to share these beautiful stuff with her friends. Hence she took a deep breath (风灾) and she came back to life.

Thereafter, a buddhist philosopher told her that everyone who has died would be given 天衣 (the beautiful clothing she saw) and the tunnel is the passage to heaven.

Very interesting show.

Well if you remember the fateful pond which I mentioned a few days ago in one of my posts... I took some pictures of it today. *Ouch poor girl.

Deadlines

Deadlines... It's making me feel depress. I've NM3217 exams tomorrow and I havent finish studying, a marketing individual assignment is due tomorrow too and I havent proof read it completely.. A design document is due on Thursday and it is not really done up yet.. A story book is due Thu too.. not yet finish... I've a newsflash due on Thursday too... And Friday I've another CNM report due... Sat I've a marketing report due and a marketing presentation which my group hasnt start doing. It's a whole promotional campaign and nothing has begin.. The following tue I've a marketing test... The following Thu I've a website due, a folder due and another folder due...Then the following following wk I've 2 other exams.. This is a mad mad sem.. Wonder if i can survive this wk...
