Rules
Sorry I didn't update The Whinery for the past weeks. I was busy shopping and eating! Ok now I'm back in Singapore. I shall update my blog more often.
I've to start with my luggage. My cheapskate luggage has 2 handles.
From Shanghai to HK: A handle broke while I lifted the luggage onto a trolley.
From HK to Singapore: The second handle broke when I lifted the luggage for check-in. I've to hug the luggage up the conveyor belt.
Remember to SMILE =) to the counter staff. He didn't charged me any excess baggage allowance though mine was 35KG. The limit is 20 to 25kg. Can't help it. Sales in HK was so excellent. And a "Heavy" tag was placed on my luggage.
So now I'm back in Singapore! Saw David Gan at the duty free shop in Changi Airport. His skin is sooo fair and smooth and flawless. Better than Sammi Cheng and Sandy Lam. Can be an SK II spokesperson already. I smiled at him. He's friendly, said "Hi" in the most diva-ish manner.
When I step home, the first news that greeted me is a new rule... Singaporeans who lost their passports more than 2 times will remain passport-less.
More rules! I met Damon, Aaron and Nic for lunch.. Damon is flying to Shanghai for NUS Overseas College tomorrow..
We played a few rounds of pool. At the pool centre, the ah-pek at the cashier, using his microphone, announced to us...
1. Do not sit on the pool table
2. Do not use a camera to take pictures
3. Do not use our electricity for your laptop
Singaporeans live under excessive rules, rules are so integrated into our lives, we felt they are part of us. You'll probably realise this when you're away from SG for a few months.
Not surprising that more brains are choosing to work overseas. I've a cousin going Canada soon, one working in HK permanently and one uncle in China..
